Acer Unveils Predator X32 X2 and X27U X1 QD-OLED Gaming Monitors With Up to 4K/240Hz for Competitive Gamers

Acer has officially joined the ranks of premium QD-OLED monitor manufacturers, unveiling two high-performance gaming displays designed to meet the demands of competitive and enthusiast-level users. The new Predator X32 X2 and Predator X27U X1 monitors feature cutting-edge Quantum Dot OLED panels, enabling superior visual quality, fast response times, and high refresh rates for immersive gameplay.

Historically trailing behind rivals like MSI and ASUS in this space, Acer is now stepping into the spotlight with its new models. Both displays come equipped with Samsung-sourced QD-OLED panels—technology that enhances traditional OLED with improved color saturation and brightness, a must-have for elite gaming experiences.

Predator X32 X2 and X27U X1: Key Features

The Predator X32 X2 boasts a 31.5-inch 4K UHD (3840x2160) resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate, targeting gamers who want ultra-high-definition visuals without compromising fluidity. Meanwhile, the Predator X27U X1 offers a 26.5-inch QHD (2560x1440) resolution, also at 240Hz. While these don’t reach the extreme 500Hz offered by some competing QHD models from ASUS and MSI, they deliver robust performance across most gaming scenarios.

Both monitors feature:

  • Ultra-fast 0.03ms GtG response time

  • AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for stutter- and tear-free gaming

  • 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio

  • True 10-bit color support

  • 250 nits brightness and wide viewing angles

There are subtle hardware differences as well. The Predator X27U X1 includes 5W stereo speakers, while the X32 X2 ships with 2W speakers. The X32 X2 also allows for greater height adjustment (up to 150mm) compared to the 120mm on the smaller sibling.

These monitors also bring modern I/O support, likely including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C, though Acer has yet to detail all connection options in the official specs.
