Assetto Corsa EVO to Introduce Open-World Racing: Early Access Launches January 16, 2025

Racing enthusiasts, buckle up! KUNOS Simulazioni has officially announced exciting details for their upcoming title, Assetto Corsa EVO, including the highly anticipated addition of an open-world map. The game is set to enter Early Access on January 16, 2025, exclusively on Steam, with the open-world experience arriving in Summer 2025.

Open-World Racing Redefined

In a bold move to expand beyond traditional racing circuits, Assetto Corsa EVO will introduce an open-world map inspired by Eifel, the region surrounding the Nürburgring in Germany. This map promises a highly interactive experience, including the ability to:

  • Connect with other players in an immersive social environment.

  • Visit in-game businesses and rent cars.

  • Upgrade vehicles using a dynamic aftermarket system.

The map will release in stages, allowing for regular updates and the addition of new content. According to Marco Massarutto of KUNOS Simulazioni, the open world is designed to embody the "pure joy of driving", catering to casual drivers and motorsport enthusiasts alike.

Early Access Highlights

Starting January 16, 2025, players can dive into Early Access, which will feature:

  • 20 cars to choose from, including iconic models.

  • Five circuits across four continents, offering a mix of technical and scenic challenges.

The full version of the game, scheduled for Fall 2025, promises even more: 100 cars, 15 officially licensed circuits, and free updates post-launch.

An Automotive Love Letter

Assetto Corsa EVO is more than just a racing game; it’s a celebration of car culture. From track-focused thrills to leisurely drives on public roads, this game aims to capture the petrolhead lifestyle in its entirety.

While no console release has been confirmed, the game is currently available to wishlist on Steam. Stay tuned for more updates, including the exact release date of the open-world map!
