ASUS Launches ROG NUC 2025: A 3-Liter Powerhouse Featuring Arrow Lake Core Ultra 9 and NVIDIA RTX 5080

ASUS has officially introduced its next-generation ROG NUC 2025 Mini-PC, a cutting-edge small form factor (SFF) system designed to deliver uncompromising desktop-class performance in a remarkably compact 3-liter chassis. Announced via the company’s official Bilibili page, the ROG NUC 2025 integrates Intel’s Arrow Lake Core Ultra 9 CPUs and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, showcasing ASUS's continued leadership in high-performance mini-PC design.

Powerful Performance in a Compact Footprint

The ROG NUC 2025 is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, a 24-core processor (8 Performance + 16 Efficiency cores) with up to 5.4 GHz boost clocks, 76 MB cache, and a maximum turbo power rating of 160W. This level of CPU horsepower in such a compact footprint sets a new benchmark for SFF systems.

On the graphics side, ASUS has opted for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, featuring 7680 CUDA cores and 16 GB of next-gen GDDR7 memory, promising performance on par with the desktop-class RTX 5070. ASUS notably refrained from including the RTX 5090, likely due to thermal and power constraints within the 3-liter chassis—though the 5080 remains a top-tier option for gamers and content creators alike.

Advanced Cooling for Demanding Hardware

Despite its small form factor, the ROG NUC 2025 features a sophisticated cooling design. Dual heatsinks are actively managed by three internal fans, enabling the unit to effectively handle high thermal loads while maintaining a compact and quiet footprint—ideal for both workstation and living room environments.

    • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (Arrow Lake-HX, 24-core, up to 5.4GHz)

    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 (7680 cores, 16 GB GDDR7)

    • Memory: Up to 96 GB DDR5-6400

    • Storage: PCIe Gen5 M.2 SSD support (Available in 1 TB and 2 TB variants)

    • Display Output: Supports up to four 4K displays

    • Networking: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 2.5GbE LAN

    • I/O Ports:

      • Rear: 4x USB 3.2, 1x 2.5GbE LAN, 1x Thunderbolt 4, 2x HDMI 2.1

      • Front: 3x USB 3.2, 1x headphone/mic combo jack

Pricing and Availability

The ASUS ROG NUC 2025 will be available in two variants:

  • 1 TB SSD Model: ¥24,399 (~$3,335 USD)

  • 2 TB SSD Model: ¥24,999 (~$3,417 USD)

Both configurations are expected to launch later this month in China, with broader global availability likely to follow.

What do you think of the ROG NUC 2025’s compact design and high-end specs? Would you consider replacing your full-sized desktop with a 3L powerhouse?
