ASUS Reveals Compact AI Supercomputer 'Ascent GX10', Featuring NVIDIA GB10 And 128GB Unified Memory

ASUS has officially unveiled its latest compact AI supercomputer, the Ascent GX10, leveraging NVIDIA’s powerful GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. This innovative system promises to deliver impressive computational performance, targeting developers and researchers in the AI community who require robust yet budget-conscious solutions.

The Ascent GX10 is specifically engineered for AI model training, inference, and experimentation. At its core, the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip combines an advanced NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, featuring fifth-generation Tensor cores and FP4 precision capabilities, alongside a powerful 20-core Arm CPU. This combination enables the system to achieve remarkable computational performance, delivering up to 1,000 AI TOPs (Tera Operations per Second), making it a capable and accessible solution for a broad range of AI workloads.

ASUS’s Ascent GX10 comes equipped with 128 GB of coherent unified memory, designed to effectively handle AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. The integration of NVIDIA’s NVLink-C2C technology further enhances system performance, providing up to five times the bandwidth of PCI-E 5.0, and significantly improving data transfer speeds between the CPU and GPU.

In terms of scalability, ASUS has ensured that two Ascent GX10 units can be interconnected via NVIDIA ConnectX-7 Network Interface Cards. This scalability allows developers to effortlessly expand computational resources, enabling the handling of even larger AI models, up to approximately 405 billion parameters.

According to KuoWei Chao, General Manager of ASUS IoT and NUC Business Group:

“AI is transforming every industry, and the ASUS Ascent GX10 is designed to bring this transformative power to every developer’s fingertips. By integrating the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchip, we are providing a powerful yet compact tool that enables developers, data scientists, and AI researchers to innovate and push the boundaries of AI right from their desks.”

ASUS plans to open pre-orders for the Ascent GX10 during the second quarter of 2025, though the pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
