Biwin Launches First DDR5 RGB Memory Kit with Dual EXPO Profiles: 8000 MT/s CL34 & 6400 MT/s CL28
Chinese memory manufacturer Biwin, in collaboration with OC Lab, has unveiled the OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 DDR5 RGB memory kit specifically designed for the AMD AM5 platform. The kit features dual EXPO profiles, offering two distinct configurations: one that supports DDR5-8000 at CL34 (and CL36) and another that provides DDR5-6400 at CL28. These dual profiles allow users to choose between blistering memory speeds for quick operations and lower latency for faster responses in applications and games.
The OC Lab Gold Edition DW100 DDR5 kit comes in a 32 GB (16 GB x2) configuration and is engineered with a 10-layer PCB design that enhances data transfer stability. It also integrates a PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) to dynamically regulate voltage under different loads. With an advanced heatsink and RGB lighting accented with gold, the kit not only performs exceptionally well—maintaining temperatures below 50°C even at voltages of 1.45V and 1.50V—but also makes for an aesthetically pleasing addition to any high-performance build.
Biwin claims that with fine-tuning via BIOS, users can potentially overclock the kit further, achieving speeds of up to 8400 MT/s at CL34 on popular motherboards from ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASRock. Aimed at high-performance AMD AM5 builds featuring Ryzen 9000 processors, the BIWIN DW100 DDR5 Dual EXPO memory series is expected to perform excellently on all AMD 800-series chipset motherboards. Priced from $169, the kit is set to be available in late March.
