Dragon Age Day 2024: BioWare Treats Fans to Veilguard Character Creator, Hawke Armor, and Developer AMA

It’s Dragon Age Day, and BioWare is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the cherished RPG franchise with its community. This year’s festivities are packed with surprises, gifts, and fan engagement.

Fans can now download the Dragon Age: The Veilguard character creator as a standalone app on all platforms. Originally requested by players before the game’s launch, this tool lets users craft their perfect Rooks and import them directly into the game.

To honor the creativity of the community, BioWare shared a stunning mosaic featuring some of the most unique and diverse Rooks created by players since the game’s release.

Patch 4 for Dragon Age: The Veilguard also drops today, adding:

  • A cutscene photo tool for capturing epic moments.

  • Over 20 bug fixes to enhance gameplay.

  • New Qunari complexion options for deeper customization.

Additionally, players can now grab a free Hawke-inspired armor set, body paint, and nose blood smear, paying homage to the Dragon Age II Champion of Kirkwall. To access these new cosmetics, players must complete the mission The Singing Blade after downloading the patch.

BioWare also shared fascinating infographics highlighting some of the impactful choices made by players in The Veilguard. For instance:

  • 42% of players let Mayor Julius drown in Blight.

  • 36% saved him, while 22% banished him to the Grey Wardens—a choice reserved for Grey Warden Rooks.

The day concludes with a special Reddit AMA session featuring members of the development team. Fans can ask burning questions about the game, its development, and its future.
