Forever Skies Version 1.0 Release Date Set for April 14, Coming to PC and PlayStation 5
Polish developer Far From Home has officially announced the full launch date for their sci-fi survival adventure Forever Skies. Version 1.0 is set to release on Monday, April 14, simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 5. The game has been available in Early Access on Steam since June 2023, receiving moderate attention from the community, with SteamDB data suggesting between 164,000 and 277,000 current owners. PlayStation 5 pre-orders have already gone live via the PlayStation Store, including a Deluxe Edition featuring cosmetic airship decorations and a three-day early access opportunity starting April 11.
Forever Skies’ official 1.0 release promises several substantial improvements and new features:

In Forever Skies, players assume the role of scientists returning to Earth centuries after a catastrophic ecological disaster has transformed the planet into an inhospitable wasteland. Gameplay revolves around piloting a customizable, high-tech airship soaring above toxic clouds that blanket the Earth—remnants of humanity’s desperate attempts to survive. This airship serves as a mobile base, laboratory, and refuge for players, who must manage resources carefully, maintain airship integrity, and continually upgrade their vessel.
Exploration plays a central role as players investigate remnants of civilization, uncovering the dark mystery behind humanity’s fall. Beneath the toxic dust, a radically altered ecosystem hosts newly evolved flora and fauna. Scientific research and pathogen hunting become critical, as players work to cure a mysterious disease affecting the remnants of humanity.
Forever Skies supports solo gameplay as well as co-operative multiplayer, accommodating up to four players—a feature added in December 2024.
