GeForce NOW Adds The Thing: Remastered, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, and More Classics to Its Lineup
NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW Thursday update has brought a wave of nostalgia with remastered versions of two iconic games: The Thing and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2. These revamped classics, alongside other notable additions, expand the cloud gaming platform’s ever-growing library.
The Thing: Remastered
Based on John Carpenter's legendary 1982 horror film, The Thing: Remastered brings the 2002 third-person shooter into the modern gaming era. Nightdive Studios, renowned for elevating classic games (System Shock, Quake II, Star Wars: Dark Forces), has delivered again, enhancing the game with 4K resolution, anti-aliasing, per-pixel lighting, and a smooth 144 frames per second experience. On GeForce NOW, Performance tier subscribers can enjoy gameplay at 1440p, while Ultimate tier users can push up to 4K and 120 FPS.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Legacy of Kain franchise, Aspyr’s remaster breathes new life into Raziel’s dark journey of revenge and redemption. Upgraded visuals include higher fidelity cut-scene models, new hero and enemy designs, real-time shadows, and a radiant glow for Raziel’s Wraith Blade. Fans of the original will appreciate the restored Day and Night cycle, an all-new Photo Mode, and the addition of a map and compass for smoother exploration.
Earlier this week, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle joined the platform, offering gorgeous path tracing capabilities for GFN Ultimate subscribers.
Newly added titles include:
Fast Food Simulator (Steam, Dec. 10)
The Spirit of the Samurai (Steam, Dec. 12)
Diablo Immortal (Battle.net)
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (Steam)
GeForce NOW continues to impress by making beloved classics and modern hits accessible with cutting-edge visuals across a range of devices.
