Marvel Rivals Celebrates Spring Festival With Limited-Time Game Mode

Marvel Games and NetEase Games have officially announced a special Spring Festival event for Marvel Rivals. Since its release, the game has garnered widespread acclaim and awards, and the upcoming event promises to deliver even more excitement for players. The Spring Festival kicks off on January 23 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 9 AM GMT, introducing a new limited-time game mode called Clash of Dancing Lions.

Clash of Dancing Lions: New Game Mode

In the Clash of Dancing Lions, players will engage in 3v3 matches on a designated map. The objective is simple: gain possession of the ball and score points by getting it to the scoring zones located on either side of the field. The first team to reach the target score wins the match.

Rewards for Participation

Players who participate in this special event can unlock limited-time rewards, including:

  • Star-Lord: Lion's Mane costume

  • Exclusive nameplate and spray

  • Additional in-game rewards via the Fortune & Colors Gallery Card customization event

The event trailer showcases some of the striking Clashing Lions costumes, including:

  • Star-Lord: Lion's Mane

  • Iron Fist: Lion's Gaze

  • Black Widow: Lion's Heartbeat

These costumes will be released incrementally over the coming weeks.

Spider-Man 2 Bundle

To celebrate the launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC, Marvel Rivals will introduce a Spider-Man 2 bundle on January 30, featuring:

  • Advanced Suit 2.0

  • Exclusive nameplate and spray

Marvel Rivals: A Growing Phenomenon

Since its release, Marvel Rivals has delivered three significant patches, with Season 1 now fully underway. During its Season 0 launch, the game showcased a fraction of its current content, yet it quickly rose in popularity, attracting top players and streamers.

Notably, esports star Shroud has expressed interest in establishing a Marvel Rivals esports organization. Read more about Shroud's comments here. While this development is still speculative, the game's growing popularity suggests it could soon join the ranks of esports giants like Overwatch 2, Valorant, and League of Legends.
