MSI Introduces MPG GS Series PSUs With ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Compliance for High-Performance PCs
MSI is expanding its power supply portfolio with the new MPG GS lineup, delivering high-end specs that cater to the latest CPU and GPU demands. According to chi11eddog that leak this information, these new PSUs continue the brand’s push into robust, future-proof power solutions, following closely on the heels of the premium MEG Ai1600T unveiled recently.
MPG GS Series Overview
The MSI MPG GS series features three models:
A1250GS (1250W)
A1000GS (1000W)
A850GS (850W)
While the previously announced MEG Ai1600T PSU delivers a colossal 1600W at a premium price, MSI intends for the MPG GS line to serve as cost-effective solutions for high-performance PC builders. Even the 850W variant is robust enough for most modern gaming rigs featuring the latest CPUs and GPUs.
ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Compliance
One of the standout features of the MPG GS PSUs is compliance with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 specifications. These PSU standards ensure advanced safety and compatibility functions, an essential consideration for powerful, next-generation components known to produce occasional power spikes beyond their nominal ratings. The MPG GS line can handle power excursions up to 235%, translating into the following peak capacities:
