NVIDIA Plans Secondary Headquarters in Taiwan, Strengthening Local Commitment

NVIDIA is reportedly set to establish a "secondary headquarters" in Taiwan, signifying its deep-rooted commitment to the region. This move aligns with CEO Jensen Huang's earlier promises to prioritize local employees and develop a dedicated facility comparable to NVIDIA's primary U.S. headquarters.

The new headquarters aims to solidify Taiwan's critical role in NVIDIA's operations. Reports indicate that the company is scouting for up to three hectares of land, though challenges in securing such a space in Taipei have prompted considerations of alternative locations north of the city. For now, NVIDIA has rented a 10,000-square-foot building in Taipei’s Nangang District to serve as a temporary base for its Taiwan HQ.

This development is part of a broader strategy that includes the creation of a Taiwanese R&D center employing 1,000 engineers. Taiwan's significance to NVIDIA extends beyond its workforce; the nation is pivotal due to its supply chain and corporate partnerships. Establishing a dedicated facility underscores NVIDIA's recognition of Taiwan as an integral part of its global success.
