NVIDIA’s Verified Priority Access Program Returns, Offering Limited RTX 5090 & 5080 GPUs at MSRP
NVIDIA has reintroduced its Verified Priority Access (VPA) program for its highly anticipated GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards. This initiative aims to provide loyal NVIDIA users with direct access to Founders Edition (FE) models at MSRP, mitigating the challenges posed by scalping and limited retail availability.
Exclusive Access for Verified NVIDIA Users
NVIDIA has previously implemented the Verified Priority Access program during the launches of the RTX 40 series. This program is designed to prioritize actual gamers and creators, ensuring that high-demand GPUs are distributed directly to end-users rather than resellers who flip them at inflated prices.
As stated in NVIDIA’s official announcement:
"We know it’s challenging to purchase a GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card. Today we’re introducing Verified Priority Access for the GeForce RTX 50 Series. It will give a limited number of verified GeForce gamers & creators in the United States the opportunity to purchase one GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card from the NVIDIA Marketplace."
How to Apply for NVIDIA’s Verified Priority Access Program
To be eligible for the RTX 50 Series VPA program, users must meet the following criteria:
✔️ Have an NVIDIA account created on or before January 30, 2025 (6 AM Pacific Time).
✔️ Submit an application through the official Verified Priority Access form.
✔️ Be a U.S. resident, as this program is currently limited to the United States.
Those selected by NVIDIA will receive an exclusive opportunity to purchase a GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Founders Edition at MSRP from the NVIDIA Marketplace.
The Only Way to Secure an RTX 5090 or 5080 at MSRP?
The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 have been in extremely limited supply, leading to skyrocketing resale prices across online marketplaces. While availability is expected to gradually improve over the coming weeks, it is unlikely that consumers will find these GPUs at MSRP outside of NVIDIA’s Verified Priority Access initiative.
However, it is important to note:
This program is limited to U.S. consumers only—buyers in other regions will not have access.
Only Founders Edition (FE) models are included in this program—AIB variants from ASUS, MSI, and other partners will not be available through this initiative.
For those struggling to obtain an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 at a reasonable price, applying for NVIDIA’s Verified Priority Access may be the best opportunity to purchase these high-demand GPUs without markup.
