OneXPlayer G1 Handheld Gaming Device Set for January Launch on Indiegogo

ONE-NETBOOK has announced the upcoming release of the OneXPlayer G1, a highly versatile gaming handheld designed to bridge the gap between portable gaming and productivity. Featuring a hybrid design, the G1 offers both a detachable keyboard and integrated controllers, making it a standout device in the competitive handheld gaming market. The device will debut on Indiegogo in early January 2025.

Hybrid Design for Gaming and Productivity

The OneXPlayer G1 combines the portability of a handheld gaming console with the functionality of a mini laptop:

  • Detachable Keyboard: Converts the device from a gaming console into a productivity-focused mini laptop.

  • Integrated Controllers: Features dual joysticks, a D-pad, face buttons, and additional controls, complete with RGB backlighting for an immersive gaming experience.

Even with the keyboard detached, a small on-screen keyboard remains available for basic input tasks.

Powered by AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

At the heart of the OneXPlayer G1 is the AMD Strix Point Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, a next-gen processor designed for high performance. This chip ensures smooth gameplay and multitasking capabilities, building on the success of the company's OneXFly F1 Pro, which also uses AMD's cutting-edge APU.

While some details remain under wraps, the known features include:

  • Display: 8.8-inch screen for optimal portability and immersive visuals.

  • Memory: High-speed LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 7500 MT/s, with capacities potentially up to 32 GB.

  • Storage: Expected configurations of at least 1 TB SSD.

  • Weight: Approximately 900 grams, slightly heavier than competitors like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally X.

The device’s design prioritizes portability and versatility, making it suitable for gaming on the go or productivity tasks.

The OneXPlayer G1 will be available for crowdfunding on Indiegogo in early January 2025. This launch strategy allows ONE-NETBOOK to gauge interest and offer early adopters exclusive configurations and perks. Pricing and specific configuration details are expected to be revealed during the campaign.
