Path of Exile 2 Early Access Hits Over 1 Million Redemptions Ahead of Launch

Grinding Gear Games is celebrating a significant milestone for the highly anticipated Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Just hours before its official launch, the developer confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that over 1 million Early Access redemptions have been made, signaling a phenomenal start for the sequel.

The development team expressed their gratitude to players for the overwhelming support but also issued a caution: with such a massive influx of players, queues and potential server issues over the weekend are expected.

The Path of Exile 2 Early Access version offers a wealth of content to keep players engaged:

  • Six Playable Classes: Each featuring two Ascendancy classes for diverse playstyles.

  • Three Story Acts: Dive deep into an enthralling narrative.

  • A Revamped Endgame: Features new mechanics designed to push the gameplay to its limits.

Players who experienced the demo during Gamescom earlier this year have lauded the sequel’s improvements, praising its evolved gameplay, enhanced visuals, and intricate systems that stay true to the spirit of the original while introducing new, exciting challenges.

The Early Access version will be available starting today on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. Unlike the eventual full release, which will maintain the franchise's free-to-play model, Early Access requires the purchase of a supporter pack to gain entry.

Given the hype and high participation levels, it's safe to say that Path of Exile 2 is setting itself up for monumental success in the ARPG space.
