Pearl Abyss Brings Native Builds of Black Desert to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Pearl Abyss has officially announced the development of native builds of Black Desert for PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. These versions promise enhanced visuals, smoother gameplay, and next-gen performance upgrades, all delivered as a free update for current Black Desert Console players.

PS5 Version: Nearing completion, awaiting platform certification.

Xbox Series X|S Version: Development ongoing.

Launch Date: Both builds are expected in H1 2025, coinciding with additional updates, including the Land of the Morning Light expansion for console players.

Upcoming Console Updates

In preparation for the native builds, Pearl Abyss is rolling out major updates on December 12, offering:

Kharazad Accessories: New equipment for players.

Accessory Exchange System: Allows swapping parts of the Deboreka set for better customization.

Daily Rewards and Buffs: Substantial gameplay enhancements, including:

  • 50% Training EXP Buff

  • 100% Farming EXP Buff

  • 500% Combat EXP Buff

Originally released for PC, this expansion immerses players in a region inspired by ancient Korea, featuring stunning landscapes, traditional architecture, and unique challenges. While visually praised, the expansion was criticized for overwhelming new players with complex mechanics and a lack of combat guidance.

Pearl Abyss is clearly committed to keeping Black Desert vibrant, bridging the gap to its native builds with engaging updates and community-focused improvements.
