Pokémon Legends: Z-A New Trailer Confirms Late 2025 Release Window; Extended Look Gameplay Video Released

During the Pokémon Presents presentation, a new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A confirmed that the highly anticipated open-world adventure will launch on Nintendo Switch worldwide in late 2025. The Pokémon Legends: Z-A Trailer, provides a quick overview of the game’s expansive world and new gameplay features. Given the release window, an updated version optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 wouldn’t be surprising.

In addition to the initial trailer, an extended look gameplay video was also revealed, showcasing the game’s refined combat system, the return of Mega Evolution, and the Wild Zones set in Lumoise City. This extended preview confirms that fans can expect the familiar starters—Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile—to lead the adventure.

The presentation wasn’t solely focused on Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Another title, Pokémon Champions, was also announced. Designed as the next evolution of the Pokémon Stadium series, Pokémon Champions will be available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, and will integrate Pokémon HOME support—indicating that every Pokémon to date might be supported. However, its release window has yet to be confirmed.
