Sapphire Unveils Comprehensive Radeon RX 9070 GPU Lineup in Nitro+, Pure, and Pulse Variants

Sapphire has officially revealed its complete lineup of custom Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards, offering three distinct flavors—Nitro+, Pure, and Pulse—each tailored to meet the diverse needs of gaming enthusiasts. These cards incorporate AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, launching on March 6, and showcase Sapphire’s latest design innovations, cooling solutions, and power configurations. Below is an in-depth look at each model, along with all the essential links, technical details, and expected performance benchmarks.

Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+ Series

Sapphire’s flagship offering comes in the form of its Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ and Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+ models:

Triple-Slot Cooler & Fan Assembly:
Both Nitro+ graphics cards feature a triple-slot cooler equipped with three high-performance fans, pushing air through a large heatsink containing multiple aluminum fins and six copper heat pipes. The fans include a Quick-connect mechanism, enabling convenient replacement if a fan malfunctions.

Champagne Gold Design & Flow-Through Fan Concept:
Sapphire has opted for a champagne gold color scheme with triangular cut-outs on the sides, hosting a backlit “Radeon” logo and Sapphire “Nitro+” badge. The third fan employs a flow-through design, directing air out the back vents for improved cooling efficiency. RGB LEDs also line the interior shroud to appeal to those who appreciate immersive lighting effects.

Hidden Power Connector & Custom PCB:
One of the most striking design choices is the hidden power connector, facilitating neater cable management inside the case. The backplate, featuring a removable (magnetic) cover, complements a dual BIOS switch for additional versatility.

  • Connector & Adapters: Nitro+ models adopt the 12V-2x6 (H++) connector with a 3x 8-pin adapter provided.

  • PCB & Component Protection: The 12-layer (2oz) PCB integrates Fuse protection for extra safety, while the GPU uses Honeywell PTM7950 thermal interface material for efficient heat dissipation.

Clock Speeds & TBP:

  • Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+: Up to 3060 MHz boost clock at a TBP of 330W.

  • Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+: Up to 2700 MHz boost clock at a TBP of 245W.

Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 PURE & PULSE Series Radeon RX 9070 XT PURE and Radeon RX 9070 PURE models

Aesthetic & Cooling:
Sapphire’s new PURE family offers a striking white aesthetic, featuring a triple-slot, triple-fan solution with AeroCurve fan blades. The aluminum backplate includes an integrated cooling module, utilizing five composite heat pipes for efficient heat dissipation.

PCB & Power Delivery:
These cards employ a 12-layer (2oz) High TG Copper PCB for robust build quality and fuse protection. Power is delivered via two standard 8-pin connectors.

Clock Speeds & TBP:

  • Radeon RX 9070 XT PURE: Up to 3010 MHz boost clock at 317W.

  • Radeon RX 9070 PURE: Up to 2700 MHz boost clock at 245W.

Dimensions:
Measuring 320mm x 61mm, these GPUs fit in cases that can accommodate extended-length graphics cards.

PULSE Series Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse and Radeon RX 9070 Pulse models

Design & Specs:
Sapphire’s PULSE lineup adheres closely to AMD’s reference clock targets while maintaining a triple-slot, triple-fan cooler design for efficient heat management.

Clock Speeds & TBP:

  • Radeon RX 9070 XT Pulse: Up to 2970 MHz at 304W.

  • Radeon RX 9070 Pulse: Up to 2520 MHz at 220W.

Availability & Launch Date:

All PULSE models, like the Nitro+ and PURE families, will be available starting March 6, aligning with AMD’s official launch schedule.
