The Elder Scrolls Online Unveils 'Fallen Banners' Dungeon DLC and Enhanced Starter Zones in Update 45
ZeniMax Online Studios has officially launched the latest premium DLC, Fallen Banners, alongside the comprehensive Update 45 for their acclaimed MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). The DLC and update are now live for PC/Mac players, with console releases set to follow shortly.
Fallen Banners Dungeon DLC: New Adventures Await
The Fallen Banners DLC introduces two thrilling new dungeons: Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt. Each dungeon features unique storylines, formidable enemies, and valuable rewards, delivering fresh experiences for both new and veteran players.
Lep Seclusa: Players will defend the revered Moth Priests against Orpheon the Tactician, who seeks to exploit the power of an Elder Scroll. Teaming up with Sister Chana, players must repel the invaders, safeguard ancient secrets, and prevent irreversible damage to Cyrodiil’s fate.
Exiled Redoubt: A mysterious Imperial fortress is linked to the disappearance of Alliance War soldiers across factions. Battlemage Lucilla guides players into the fortress to thwart a dangerous Imperial House’s schemes, halting chaos before it spreads throughout Tamriel.
Adventurers brave enough to conquer both dungeons on Veteran difficulty will earn exclusive collectibles, including the prestigious Tactician's Gold Grate Skin. Additional rewards such as unique item sets and achievements further enrich the challenging yet rewarding experience.
Visual and Gameplay Enhancements
Alongside Fallen Banners, ESO’s free Update significantly enhances the game’s starting zones, bringing renewed visual appeal and immersion. The overhauled zones—Bleakrock Isle, Bal Foyen, Stros M'kai, Betnikh, and Khenarthi's Roost—feature improved lighting, high-quality ground and water textures, reimagined structures, and increased environmental detail. This update also includes essential balance adjustments and introduces the first stage of long-awaited console add-on support, which is anticipated to be fully functional later this year. Additionally, a new player response system has been implemented, enabling richer role-playing interactions during NPC dialogues.
