Warhammer Vermintide 2 Welcomes 500K New Players During Versus Launch Week
Fatshark, the Swedish developer behind Warhammer Vermintide 2, has announced a major milestone: over 500,000 new players joined the game during the launch week of its new Versus PvP mode. Originally released in 2018, Warhammer Vermintide 2 has continued to thrive, surpassing two million players by 2019 and now experiencing a resurgence thanks to this long-awaited PvP mode.
What’s New in Warhammer Vermintide 2?
To keep the momentum alive, Fatshark is rolling out new content, including the free DLC “Verminous Dreams”, with its first level launching December 9. This update coincides with the festive Gifts of the Wolf Father event, bringing additional rewards and improvements to the Versus mode.
Additionally, Vermintide 2 is currently available at an incredible 95% discount on Steam until November 26, with the Content Bundle (including expansions, DLCs, and careers) reduced by 72%, from €138.79 to €38.76.

Winds of Magic Expansion: Introduces the Beastmen faction and challenging new gameplay.
Back to Ubersreik DLC: Features remastered levels from Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.

Three New Careers: Grail Knight, Outcast Engineer, and Necromancer, each with unique abilities and cosmetic upgrades.
