Blade & Soul NEO Gets Official Release Date; Free on PC on February 25

NC America has announced that Blade & Soul NEO, the remastered version of the celebrated Blade & Soul MMORPG, will be free to download and play starting February 25 on PC for players in North America and Europe. Those eager to explore the game’s fantasy setting can begin pre-loading as early as February 11 via NCSOFT’s PURPLE platform. Additionally, on February 18, Blade & Soul NEO’s Character Creator will unlock, allowing users to secure a character name, customize its appearance, and make other key choices before fully diving in on launch day. This new version of Blade & Soul reintroduces the original storyline while overhauling the visuals, combat mechanics (including Infinite Windwalk), and a range of other features meant to revitalize the entire experience for veterans and newcomers alike.

As part of the build-up to release, Blade & Soul NEO will also host two art competitions that encourage fan creativity. One contest centers on the creation of Loading Screen art, offering the winner the chance to have their art featured in-game, while a separate Costume Design contest allows the winning submission to become a wearable outfit for all players. Both contests are planned to run for 30 days and will be hosted via the official Blade & Soul Discord. For those interested in extras, NC America has introduced a free pre-registration option at the official website, granting an exclusive cosmetic package. Several paid pre-order bundles are also on offer, including the Master Package at $59.99, featuring the Haran Outfit and Weapon Skin, Chromatic Thread, 6,000 NCoin, and more; the Ascendant Package at $29.99; and the Trainee Package at $9.99—each containing different in-game rewards. Further details on these bundles and visuals of the associated rewards can be found at Blade & Soul’s website.

Are you planning to pre-load and create your character early, or will you wait until February 25 to explore the remastered Blade & Soul NEO? Share your excitement about the new graphics, Infinite Windwalk feature, or any of the upcoming contests below.
