Bloober Team and KONAMI Continue Their Collaboration
Bloober Team, the acclaimed Polish horror studio behind the highly praised Silent Hill 2 remake, has confirmed that its successful partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment will continue with a new joint project currently in development. In an official message posted on Bloober Team’s website, the studio announced the signing of a new agreement with KONAMI to work on a project based on one of KONAMI’s iconic intellectual properties.
This new collaboration follows the tremendous success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which not only captured the atmospheric storytelling and psychological depth of the original but also introduced crucial innovations that resonated with fans and critics alike. The remake received stellar reviews, earning an 86/100 rating on Metacritic and an 88/100 on OpenCritic, along with prestigious awards such as Game of the Year 2024 from IGN Japan and Best Horror Game of the Year from the IGN Community Awards. The trust and creative synergy built from that project have laid a strong foundation for this new endeavor.
While details of the new project remain under wraps, it has been confirmed that the game will be based on KONAMI’s intellectual property, with KONAMI continuing to serve as both the publisher and rights holder.
