First Character Revealed for The Witcher 4 Polaris; Voiceover and Motion Capture Set for 2025

The highly anticipated The Witcher 4 Polaris by CD Projekt Red has revealed its first character: Branko, to be played by British actor Jake Lampert. The discovery, made by Reddit user KekanKok through the actor’s online resume, notes the role’s start date as 2025, indicating that voiceover recording and motion capture for the character will begin next year. This timeline suggests that The Witcher 4 is still in early development stages and far from release.

The game recently moved from pre-production into actual production, as planned earlier this year. The Witcher 4 Polaris will be CD Projekt Red's first title built on Unreal Engine 5, a decision that has met with mixed reactions from fans but could help address common performance issues associated with the engine.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, we’ll keep you posted with any new details on The Witcher 4 Polaris.
