STALKER 2 Finally Goes Gold, Putting Delay Concerns to Rest

GSC Game World has officially announced that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has gone gold, meaning the game is complete and ready for mass production. Fans can expect the game to launch as planned on November 20 for PC and Xbox Series S|X, with physical copies available for Xbox.

This milestone marks the end of a long and challenging journey for STALKER 2. Originally announced in 2010, the game faced numerous delays, including the dissolution of GSC Game World in 2011 and disruptions from the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. After several rescheduled release dates and a playable demo at Gamescom 2023, the game is finally set for release.

While some may remember the last-minute delay of Cyberpunk 2077 despite going gold, fans are hopeful STALKER 2 won’t face similar issues. After over 15 years since the last entry, STALKER 2 promises to bring players back to the haunting world of Chornobyl with an updated experience.
