Fortnite Ballistic Launches: First-Person 5v5 Mode and Island Creation Update
Epic Games has officially rolled out Fortnite Ballistic, a 5-versus-5 tactical mode designed exclusively for first-person gameplay. Available now in early access, Ballistic offers an intense competitive experience where teams are divided into attackers and defenders. Attackers must plant a Rift Point Device at one of two map sites, while defenders aim to prevent this at all costs.
In each match, players can choose from one of five Flex Gadgets, each bringing unique strategic advantages. These powerful tools can be game-changers when used creatively:
Proximity Mine: Place on floors, walls, or ceilings to ambush enemies. Mines can be repositioned or detonated by gunfire.
Bubble Shield: Deploy a temporary protective dome that blocks bullets and grenades, providing critical cover in tight spots.
Recon Grenade: Marks enemies near its landing spot, even through walls. Use it to scout before entering enemy territory.
Frag Grenade: Classic explosive with significant damage potential. Be mindful of self-damage, though allies are immune.
Impulse Grenade: Creates disruptive chaos by scattering enemies or allies. Perfect for creative tactics like launching teammates into key positions.
New Era for Creators: First-Person Islands
In addition to Ballistic, Fortnite creators can now publish Islands with the First-Person Camera Mode. This update unlocks new possibilities for immersive first-person content, encouraging players to experiment and innovate in custom game modes.
