Grand Theft Auto V PC Gets Free Upgrade on March 4 with Ray Tracing, DLSS 3, and More

Rockstar Games has officially announced a free upgrade for Grand Theft Auto V on PC, set to launch on March 4, 2025. This update will introduce significant graphical enhancements, performance improvements, and new content, bringing ray-traced global illumination, ambient occlusion, NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 1 & 3, and DirectStorage support to the game.

Key Features of the GTA V PC Upgrade

The March 4 update will incorporate the latest technical and gameplay enhancements from the console versions, including:

  • Ray-traced global illumination and ambient occlusion (exclusive to PC)

  • Ray-traced shadows and reflections (previously added to next-gen consoles)

  • NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 1 & 3 support for improved frame rates

  • Faster loading times with SSD & DirectStorage support

  • Enhanced audio with Dolby Atmos support

  • DualSense controller support

Additionally, players will receive all the latest content updates from the console versions, such as:

  • New vehicles and upgrades at Hao’s Special Works (HSW)

  • Premium Test Rides, HSW Races, and HSW Time Trials
