G.SKILL Showcases DDR5-10600 and DDR5-6800 CL28 Memory Overclocking Feats on ASUS ROG X870E Apex Motherboard
(8 January 2025) – G.SKILL, a leading brand in performance overclocking memory and PC components, in collaboration with ASUS ROG, unveiled groundbreaking overclocking achievements with their latest DDR5 memory on the new ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Apex motherboard. These milestones include a staggering DDR5-10600 speed and DDR5-6800 CL28 performance in a 1:1 mode under stress-test conditions.
The achievements were powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X desktop processor, with assistance from ASUS in-house overclocker Safedisk, who also shattered multiple overclocking records using G.SKILL memory.
DDR5-10600: Exploring the Limits with Dual-Channel Memory
Safedisk pushed the boundaries of memory overclocking by achieving DDR5-10600 speeds with a 48GB kit (2x24GB) under Memtest stress-test conditions. This remarkable feat was made possible with the ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Apex motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 8500G processor. The system utilized water chiller cooling to maintain stability during the stress test.
This achievement sets a new benchmark for high-speed memory performance in a dual-channel configuration.
DDR5-6800 CL28 Achieved in 1:1 Mode
In another demonstration of G.SKILL's memory prowess, a DDR5-6800 CL28-40-38-55 configuration was successfully tested at 1.65V in a UCLK:MCLK 1:1 ratio. This setup used a 48GB kit (2x24GB) with the same ASUS motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, again completing the Memtest stress test.
The 1:1 ratio achievement highlights G.SKILL's ability to provide both speed and low-latency performance, crucial for gamers and content creators.
Record-Breaking Overclocking with AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
G.SKILL's DDR5 memory, combined with the ASUS ROG X870E Apex and AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X, shattered multiple overclocking records under the skilled guidance of Safedisk. This partnership emphasizes the synergy between cutting-edge hardware and expert tuning capabilities.
