G.Skill Unveils World’s First 128GB DDR5-8000 Trident Z5 Royal Kit With 64GB Modules

G.Skill International has officially announced the launch of the world’s first high-capacity DDR5 memory kit that reaches speeds of DDR5-8000 with 128GB total capacity (64GB x 2), redefining the limits of desktop memory performance. This announcement marks a significant milestone not only for gaming PCs and high-performance workstations but also for professionals engaged in AI, content creation, and compute-intensive workloads.

A New Benchmark: DDR5-8000 CL44 at 128GB Capacity

According to G.Skill, the Trident Z5 Royal DDR5-8000 CL44-58-58 kit is the first to achieve such speeds while utilizing two 64GB modules—surpassing the industry’s previous standard maximum of 48GB per DIMM. This breakthrough is designed for users who demand both high memory speed and ultra-high capacity in a dual-DIMM setup.

This new kit was validated on an ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E APEX motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, a platform increasingly being adopted by extreme overclockers and creators alike.

“This is yet another milestone for DDR5 overclock performance that G.SKILL has successfully reached, surpassing all previous limits to demonstrate never-before-seen memory specifications,” said Frank Hung, Product Marketing at G.Skill.

DDR5-9000 CL48 Also Joins the Lineup

In addition to the 128GB kit, G.Skill also introduced a DDR5-9000 CL48-64-64 specification at a more standard 64GB kit capacity (32GB x 2). This model pushes the boundaries of DDR5 performance on Intel’s latest platforms and was tested with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K and ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX motherboard.

Both announcements reflect G.Skill’s continued commitment to enabling next-generation memory performance by leveraging cutting-edge PCB design, module architecture, and rigorous validation processes.
