Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Sells 2 Million Copies in Two Weeks, Exceeding Expectations

Warhorse Studios has officially announced via their social media channels that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has surpassed 2 million copies sold in just two weeks. The game had already hit 1 million units sold within the first 24 hours, largely boosted by pre-orders.

With this strong start, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is surpassing expectations and solidifying itself as one of the biggest RPG successes of 2024.

PC Dominates Sales, Steam Leads the Way

Although an official platform breakdown has not been provided, Steam data from SteamDB estimates that between 1.46 million and 1.72 million copies have been sold on PC via Steam, making it the dominant platform for the game’s user base.

In terms of player activity, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 peaked at 256,000 concurrent players on Steam, placing it among Steam’s All-Time Top 50 most-played games, ahead of Team Fortress 2.

Embracer Group Praises Warhorse Studios

During a Q3 2024/25 earnings call, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors praised Warhorse Studios for exceeding expectations, stating:

"I'm just so happy and pleased with Warhorse and what they have executed. They joined Embracer in 2019, they had their vision to create a sequel of a fantastic game, and we have been allowing them to pull off their vision that they wanted to do. The sales are exceeding our expectations, and even my slightly higher expectations. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is actually achieving that, so I think it's a 'well done'."

Wingefors further emphasized that both Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and its predecessor are expected to generate substantial revenue for years to come.

Long-Term Support & 2025 Content Roadmap

Warhorse Studios has big plans for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, with modding tools set to release soon, extending the game’s lifespan for PC players. Additionally, a 2025 content roadmap has been outlined, featuring:

  • Spring 2025 – Barbers, Horse Racing, and Hardcore Mode

  • Summer 2025Brushes with Death Premium DLC

  • Autumn 2025Legacy of the Forge Premium DLC

  • Winter 2025Mysteria Ecclesiae Premium DLC

With strong sales, a passionate player base, and a long-term content plan, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest RPGs of the year.
