La Quimera, a Sci-Fi Co-Op Shooter from Reburn (Formerly 4A Games Ukraine), Launches April 25 on PC
Reburn, has officially announced the release date for its upcoming sci-fi, story-driven cooperative shooter La Quimera. The title will launch on PC via Steam on April 25, 2025, inviting players into a dystopian vision of Latin America in the year 2064. Ahead of its release, Reburn will host a 24-hour closed beta on Saturday, April 12, and interested players can request access directly through the game's Steam page.
Set in a world where global systems have crumbled and mercenary factions thrive, La Quimera tasks players with surviving and navigating through a fractured world shaped by war, chaos, and technological warfare. The game blends tight cooperative gameplay with immersive storytelling, allowing up to three players to experience the narrative together.
With futuristic gadgets like power-enhancing exoskeletons and high-tech weaponry, players will face both human enemies and unknown threats while working through a campaign shaped by moral choices and evolving objectives. The narrative experience is designed to evolve based on team decisions, enhancing the replayability of its co-op mechanics.
A new gameplay trailer was also revealed, showcasing the game’s gritty environments, heavy gunplay, and futuristic design. Watch the trailer here:
Reburn's CEO and co-founder Dmytro Lymar shared a heartfelt message during the announcement, highlighting the challenges of developing a game in a nation at war:
"Our Reburn team can't wait to finally share our hard work and vision for La Quimera on April 25. [...] As a development studio operating out of Ukraine, the last several years have been extremely challenging in terms of bringing any artistic creation to life while contending with the realities of war and dramatic shifts in the games industry. Through it all, we stayed focused on what we love: creating immersive, story-driven experiences. Our work wouldn't be possible without the bravery and sacrifice of those defending Ukraine, and we're profoundly grateful for their strength and resilience."
While La Quimera marks Reburn’s debut under their new identity, their pedigree in developing atmospheric, narrative-rich shooters (having worked on the Metro franchise) ensures high expectations for this launch. The blend of gritty realism, tactical co-op gameplay, and a war-torn sci-fi setting positions La Quimera as one of April’s most anticipated indie titles on PC.
