Mistfall Hunter Sets Second Steam Beta for April 22 With Major New Features and Expanded Content

Bellring Games has announced the next major milestone for Mistfall Hunter, its upcoming dark fantasy PvPvE extraction action RPG. Following its initial reveal during the Xbox Partner Preview event last October, the game will return for a second Closed Beta Test (CBT) on Steam, set to begin on April 22, 2025, at 01:00 UTC. Players eager to participate can register now via the official Steam page.

The new test build brings substantial updates, including a new playable class, a solo mode, an expanded world, and a host of system-wide quality-of-life upgrades.

New Class: Reverent Seer

Among the biggest additions is the Reverent Seer, a support-focused class that wields Catalysts to either cast offensive magic or summon powerful Rune Pillars. These runes provide strategic advantages on the battlefield, ranging from healing and shielding to invisibility and crowd control. Reverent Seers also boast a death-prevention spell, offering life-saving support in high-risk encounters.

Expanded Map: The Forge and Brandrgarde Divide

The game world is also evolving with the addition of The Forge, a new region located north of Brandrgarde. Once the domain of Master Smith Vronn, The Forge is now corrupted and home to the Corroded, twisted beings transformed by the eternal fires of the ancient foundries.

Given the size of the map updates, Bellring Games has split Brandrgarde into two randomized maps, ensuring variation with each session and improving the overall flow of exploration and extraction.

Solo Mode and New Monsters

For those seeking a solitary adventure, Mistfall Hunter now supports Solo Mode, using the same maps but with rebalanced monster placements tailored to solo gameplay. Players will also face new adversaries, including:

  • The Warden

  • The Prison Guard

  • The Nightwatcher

  • The Penitent

Camp Upgrades and Shared Storage

Players will be able to upgrade their home base, unlocking practical benefits like improved healing at the Springhorn, expanded Warehouse storage, and increased Gylden Jar capacity. Notably, the Warehouse has been updated to function as shared storage across all classes, streamlining progression for multi-class players.

New Features and QoL Improvements

The second beta will also feature a host of enhancements:

  • Friends System for social connections

  • Fill Team System for matchmaking

  • In-Game Emote System

  • Journey System to track progression milestones

  • Real-Time Voice Chat for seamless communication

  • Balance changes and performance optimizations, including lowered system requirements

Mistfall Hunter is still targeting a 2025 release on PC and Xbox Series X|S, though a final launch date has not yet been confirmed. The upcoming beta promises to showcase the game's evolving complexity and player-driven customization in both PvE and PvP scenarios.

Be sure to wishlist the game and opt-in for the beta at the official Steam page.
