The potential leak precedes a highly anticipated developer panel at PAX East, taking place on May 8 at 7 PM BST / 2 PM ET, where Hangar 13 will debut a new gameplay trailer and offer a comprehensive retrospective on the franchise’s 23-year legacy. The panel promises insights into the making of Mafia: The Old Country, behind-the-scenes development stories, and an audience Q&A featuring Studio President Nick Baynes, Game Director Alex Cox, and Cinematics Director Tomas Hrebicek.
Announced during Gamescom 2024, Mafia: The Old Country represents a pivotal moment for the long-standing franchise. Departing from the modernized, open-world approaches seen in Mafia III, the new installment returns to its narrative roots with a linear, story-driven format, set in early 1900s Sicily.
