Marvel Rivals Launches with a Bang: 444K Concurrent Users on Steam

NetEase Games has officially launched Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play superhero team-based PvP shooter, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. The initial player statistics are impressive, with the game peaking at 444,000 concurrent players on Steam just hours after its release. This remarkable figure places Marvel Rivals at the 25th spot on Steam's all-time concurrent player peak chart, indicating its strong start and potential for growth as the weekend approaches.

The game kicks off with Season 0 - Doom's Rise, which revolves around Doctor Doom's time experiments and the ensuing chaos known as the Timestream Entanglement. This season is set to last for one month, promising players an engaging narrative and gameplay experience.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Marvel Rivals showcases cutting-edge graphics with Lumen-based Global Illumination and environmental destruction driven by the Chaos system. The game supports advanced technologies on PC, including:
