Metal Eden Delayed to Summer 2025 as Reikon Games Responds to Demo Feedback
Reikon Games and publisher Deep Silver have postponed the launch of Metal Eden, shifting the release from its previously announced 6 May 2025 date to an unspecified window in summer 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
In a statement posted to the game’s Steam page, the Warsaw‑based studio explained that player feedback from the recent playable demo highlighted “clear areas where we can improve.” The team will use the additional development time to refine core systems and polish the overall experience, aiming to align the finished product with their original vision.
“We know delays aren’t ideal, and we really appreciate your patience,” Reikon Games wrote, adding that the demo will remain available so fans can continue testing its fast‑paced cyber‑action while awaiting a final release date. The studio promised to share the new launch day “as soon as we can—and we’re confident it’ll be worth the wait.”
Metal Eden marks Reikon’s first full project since the critically acclaimed twin‑stick shooter Ruiner (2017). Set against a dystopian backdrop of biomechanical warfare, the title blends stylish melee combat, ranged gunplay, and roguelike progression. Early impressions from the demo praised its visceral animation and synth‑laden soundtrack but called for deeper enemy variety and balance tuning—issues the delay is intended to address.
