My First Gran Turismo Free Trial for GT7 Launches Tomorrow

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital are set to launch My First Gran Turismo, a free trial of Gran Turismo 7, tomorrow on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Designed as an approachable entry into the world of motorsports, this special demo lets players experience the thrill of racing, whether they're beginners or long-time fans looking to reignite their passion for driving.

Kazunori Yamauchi, the legendary creator of Gran Turismo, shared his vision for this free trial in a heartfelt PlayStation Blog post:

"My First Gran Turismo pays tribute to the origins of the series, making motorsports accessible to players of all skill levels. It’s more than a game—it’s a personal driving journey that fosters confidence and skill with every lap."

The trial comes packed with content, offering a variety of modes, cars, and tracks:

  • 3 Race Events

  • 3 Time Trials

  • 3 Music Rally Stages

  • A full suite of License Tests

  • 18 unique cars

  • 3 tracks: Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain Circuit

  • VR Mode support for PS VR2 owners

Players will refine essential driving skills like cornering, braking, and acceleration in an intuitive and immersive setup.

While the trial caters to PlayStation gamers, the absence of a PC version looms large. Despite Sony’s ongoing efforts to port its exclusives to PC, Gran Turismo 7 remains conspicuously absent from the platform. Two years ago, Yamauchi hinted at the possibility of a PC version, but no further developments have been announced since.

Whether you're a first-time racer or a seasoned pro, this free trial offers a taste of Gran Turismo 7's immersive world. Will you hit the tracks tomorrow? Share your thoughts and favorite racing memories below!
