New Gameplay Trailer Drops for Lost Skies, Showcasing Floating Islands & More
A brand-new gameplay trailer for Lost Skies—an open-world co-op PvE survival game set among mystical floating islands—has been revealed by Bossa Games and Humble Games. Scheduled to appear at February’s Steam Next Fest, the game will offer a five-to-six-hour multiplayer demo, allowing up to six players (or solo adventurers) to test out its survival and exploration mechanics.
Skyship Customization and “Survival Lite” Mechanics
The core of Lost Skies revolves around a fully customizable “Skyship” that acts as a mobile base, moving seamlessly between floating islands. Instead of setting up a traditional home on solid ground, you bring your floating home across the skies, helping you gather needed resources, withstand environmental threats, and safely explore. Compared to other survival titles, Lost Skies leans more toward a “Survival Lite” experience—where players can enjoy gathering and crafting without the pressure of strict survival demands or grinding from the get-go.
A World of Ancient Ruins and Colossal Creatures
Throughout Lost Skies, players can tackle ancient puzzles, uncover remnants of long-lost civilizations, and face immense sky-dwelling creatures. A grappling hook system enables more fluid traversal, letting you swing around islands, interact with the environment, and even vault between floating landmasses. The game is playable alone or alongside up to six friends, adjusting difficulty and activities as needed.
Island Creator and Community Sharing
If you want a taste of creative freedom before diving in fully, Bossa Games offers an Island Creator—a free tool enabling you to design and customize your own floating island, complete with puzzles and hidden stories. Once finished, you can share your creation on the Steam Workshop for others to explore.
If this sky-bound adventure piques your interest, you can wishlist Lost Skies on Steam or try out the free-to-play Island Creator. Check out the new gameplay trailer to see the airborne action in motion.
