Prologue: Go Wayback Gets First Gameplay Trailer, Launching in Early Access This Summer for $20

PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions has dropped the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming single-player open world survival game, Prologue: Go Wayback. The Amsterdam-based developer announced that the game will be available in early access on Steam this summer for just $20—a price that will remain fixed throughout the early access period, estimated to last around a year.

In Prologue: Go Wayback, players are thrust into a vast and untamed landscape armed with nothing but an old map and basic survival tools. The mission is straightforward yet challenging: reach the weather station. However, the unpredictable environment means that the journey is entirely up to the player’s strategy. The dynamic world—powered by the studio’s machine-learning technology—generates unique playthroughs every time, where fierce storms, freezing temperatures, and rapidly changing weather conditions force players to continuously adapt. Resource gathering, shelter-building, and foraging for food are essential to survive, with extreme weather affecting character stats and even allowing players to repair items and buildings along the way.
