PvPvE Mech Shooter SAND Enters Early Access via Steam on April 3, 2025

At IGN Fan Fest, publisher tinyBuild Games and developer Hologryph officially announced that the highly anticipated PvPvE extraction shooter SAND will launch in Early Access on Steam on April 3, 2025. This exciting update follows a highly successful demo during Steam Next Fest last year, where SAND ranked among the top ten most played demos, and an open playtest that drew over 200,000 testers.

A Unique Alternate History and Intense Gameplay

Set in an industrialized alternate 1910, SAND plunges players into a harsh, desolate world where resources have been stripped from the once-thriving landscape of Sophie. In this first-person shooter, players experience a unique blend of PvPvE combat. Whether you choose to venture alone or team up with friends, you'll engage in high-octane battles while scavenging for resources and competing against other players.

A standout feature of SAND is the ability to pilot enormous mech-like walking bases known as Tramplers. These versatile vehicles are not only used for storage and protection against the elements, but they also serve as heavily armed combat platforms. Players have the freedom to customize every aspect of their Trampler, from its size and layout to the placement of its engine, compartments, and weaponry.

Early Access and Future Roadmap

According to the SAND Steam page, the game is set to remain in Early Access for approximately one year as the development team works to refine the experience based on community feedback. Throughout this period, players can expect significant updates and enhancements, including:

• Expanded islands and points of interest (POIs)
