STALKER 2 Patch 1.1.3 Brings Shader Compilation Fixes and Minor Bug Resolutions
The latest patch for STALKER 2 is now live on PC, marking the last update for the year. Patch 1.1.3 is smaller in scope than its predecessor, focusing on targeted fixes for critical issues rather than sweeping improvements. Weighing in at approximately 7.4 GB, the patch introduces a temporary workaround for crashes related to shader compilation by skipping shader warm-up.
Additionally, the update resolves several access violation error crashes and addresses bugs such as:
Invert axis options not saving after restarting the game.
Losing control after shooting, reloading, and examining artifacts.
For those who want the detailed patch notes, they can be accessed on Steam’s official update page.
This update is relatively modest compared to the massive overhaul of Patch 1.1.2, which tackled over 1,800 issues, enhanced the A-Life system, and introduced optimization improvements, particularly for NVIDIA RTX 3000 series cards using AMD's frame generation. However, while these updates represent progress, the game still requires additional work to improve overall performance and stability.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
