VOID Interactive’s Ready or Not Deploying on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2025

VOID Interactive has confirmed that its acclaimed tactical first‑person shooter Ready or Not will deploy on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in summer 2025.

Released into Early Access in December 2021 and achieving a fully featured 1.0 launch in December 2023, the title casts players as modern‑day SWAT officers tasked with resolving high‑risk scenarios while adhering to strict rules of engagement. Success favors careful planning, door‑breaching discipline, and the capture of suspects alive; a run‑and‑gun approach almost guarantees mission failure.

The console announcement arrived during the Galaxies Showcase 2025, accompanied by a new trailer that highlights tense room‑clearing sequences, enhanced controller support, and refined console‑specific UI elements.

A seven‑year journey

Originally revealed in 2017, Ready or Not has navigated a complex development cycle. It was temporarily delisted from Steam following a trademark dispute, and one mission—depicting a school bomb threat—sparked controversy that prompted an official statement from the studio. Nevertheless, the game retains a “Very Positive” Steam rating based on more than 180,000 user reviews, underscoring its popularity among PC tacticians.

Console‑specific expectations

VOID Interactive has not detailed platform‑exclusive features, but the studio notes that the console versions will arrive with the full suite of content, cooperative and competitive modes, dynamic entry tools, and the

post‑launch improvements already applied to the PC build. Physical and digital editions have yet to be priced; pre‑order details are expected closer to release, and the developer encourages prospective players to add the title to their wishlists on their console storefronts.

How will console audiences respond to READY OR NOT’s unforgiving realism? Tell us whether you’ll breach on day one!
