Roadmap and New Release Date
Keen Games initially aimed for a full launch of Enshrouded sometime this year. However, the developer now confirms version 1.0 will drop in Spring 2026, coinciding with a console launch. They’ve outlined an expansive 2025 roadmap, underscoring continued growth and enhancements, including:
Weather Events & Night Overhaul: More treacherous nights with unique rewards.
Base Raid Islands & Moving Traps: Fresh challenges for survival-minded players.
New Weapon Types & Customization: Weapon gems and vanity system for personalized gear.
Extended Biomes: A Water biome and Mountain biome with new Hollow Hall areas.
Event System & Enemy Patrols: Greater variety in world exploration.
Farming & Pets: More farm animals, named pets, and expanded customization.
Building & Props: Additional blocks, overgrowth/wall decay tools, free prop rotation, and community world-sharing.
QoL Improvements: Auto-collect toggle, editable signs, new color stations for armor, and more.
Ongoing improvements will also focus on performance, skill trees, combat, world design, lighting, and user-created content.
When Enshrouded hits v1.0 in 2026, it will roll out simultaneously for PC and consoles. Keen Games plans to introduce a Creative mode and expanded UGC (user-generated content) tools to enable deeper modding and community-driven experiences. The developer assures fans that, in the meantime, frequent patches and updates will maintain a steady evolution of gameplay elements and new features.
