GeForce NOW Expands with Avowed, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and Support for Steam Deck, VR, and Apple Vision Pro
NVIDIA spotlighted its GeForce NOW cloud platform during the CES 2025 keynote, unveiling exciting updates for gamers across the globe. Two highly anticipated PC games—Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment and DOOM: The Dark Ages from id Software—are confirmed for GeForce NOW.
Avowed, an action RPG set in the Eora universe (from Pillars of Eternity), is launching on February 18 for PC and Xbox Series S|X. Fans will be able to immerse themselves in this vibrant fantasy world via NVIDIA's cloud gaming platform on day one.
DOOM: The Dark Ages, featuring path tracing and DLSS 4 support, is also coming to GeForce NOW, although no launch date has been confirmed yet. Ultimate tier users will still be able to enjoy DLSS 3 for the time being.
GeForce NOW Expands Device Support
NVIDIA also announced native app support for new devices, including:
Valve's Steam Deck: While beta installation has been available since last May, a native app is slated for release later this year, ensuring seamless gameplay for handheld users.
Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Apple Vision Pro, and Pico headsets: Starting later this month, VR and MR gamers can stream their favorite games directly through GeForce NOW by accessing the service via a browser.
India and Thailand: NVIDIA is opening new RTX 4080-powered data centers, bringing GeForce NOW to India later in 2025 and Thailand shortly after, thanks to a partnership with Brothers Pictures.
GeForce NOW: The Future of Cloud Gaming
With these updates, NVIDIA is solidifying GeForce NOW as a versatile platform for gamers across PCs, handheld devices, and even VR/MR ecosystems. From delivering AAA games like Avowed and DOOM: The Dark Ages to expanding accessibility to new hardware and regions, the platform continues to push the boundaries of gaming convenience and quality.
