Metal Eden Demo Now Available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X Ahead of May Launch
Metal Eden, the upcoming fast-paced, single-player FPS from developer Reikon Games and publisher Deep Silver, is ramping up excitement ahead of its official release with the launch of a free playable demo across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is slated for release on May 6, 2025, and the demo, which includes the opening two missions, is available for unlimited access starting today.
In a press release, the studio confirmed that the demo won't be time-gated, allowing players to explore the game’s fluid movement mechanics and sci-fi shooter arsenal at their leisure—even after launch. Influences from titles like Titanfall are clearly evident, particularly in Metal Eden's traversal system and its sleek, futuristic combat design.
To further drive community engagement, Speedrun.com has partnered with the developer to host an official demo speedrun challenge, offering a $1,000 prize pool for the fastest demo completions. Competitors have seven days to submit their best runs via the official challenge page
Prize Breakdown:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
Once the challenge closes, submissions will be reviewed by moderators, and winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
Metal Eden will release worldwide on May 6, 2025, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
